Half Life - Never Give In LP

First full length of this Pittsburgh punkband.
Half Life already started in 1984. Their first release was the 'What's Right' demo tape in 1985, later re-released on LP/CD. In 1986 they released the 'Under The Knife' 7". The sound changed from typical punk anthems to a more heavy sound.
'Never Give In' was released in 1989 on Skyclad and was produced by Tom Lyle.
The band split up in 1990.
There's a Half Life official site here done by ex-guitarplayer Vinny Curtis (who doesn't play on this album).

Thanks for the post! I was fortunate enough to have seen Half Life on tour around the time they released Under the Knife... an incredible expererience for sure! My friends and I tried unsuccessfully to get that heavy distorted guitar sound that they had on the 7" for our band but we could never replicate it...

Dude - Thanks so much for this fucking record! There were so many bands that I had heard rumours of when I was a teen n the 90's, but the vast majority of them were just impossible to find anything at all by. Now that I can find so many of those bands and check them out it's so great! Some of them are disappointingly bad (like Love Canal), but some of them are far better than I could have thought, like fuckin Half Life! I love this record, especially how they play so many different styles of punk and hardcore. Crawling, Never Give In, Something's Missing... this is some damn good shit! Anyway, thanks for this shit.
Check out my blog, I just posted the Hardcore 918V record! I also have a copy of the Numb Sex record, I'll post it for you. But best of all my wife found me a new copy of the I II I 7" for Christmas and it's up.

thanks for putting this up here...I used to be the singer. We had a good time and I loved being in the band, and all the friends I had made.

I bought this tape in Prague thinking it was a Czech band. I wore the tape out over the years. I got lucky and found a mint copy at Amoeba records for a couple of bucks. They didn't know what they had. I haven't had time to digitize my copy. Thanks for saving me the work!
